We are excited to share the news that Oldwick Animal Hospital is now part of a collaborative group of trusted, local, privately-owned veterinary hospitals working together to expand availability and share resources, all to better serve you and your pets.
We will continue to serve our patients as usual during the week, and offer more care and peace of mind with expanded weekend hours as part of the group:
All weekend appointments are seen at nearby Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital, staffed by doctors and team members from all the group hospitals, including Oldwick.

What does this mean for my pet(s)?
More access to care than ever before. You will have more availability to see a conveniently located, trusted veterinarian, and a greater chance of avoiding stressful, costly emergency room visits.
When is this change happening?
Starting Saturday, October 4, 2025, all weekend appointments are seen at nearby Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital, 411 US Highway 22 East, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889, just 3 miles down the road.
Will I be able to see my usual veterinarian?
Yes. To keep your care personal and familiar, an Oldwick Animal Hospital doctor will be on staff at the Hunterdon Hills location on most Saturdays, along with support staff from the Oldwick team. You may continue to schedule with your doctor of choice, or see another doctor from the group. On Saturdays, the Hunterdon Hills location is staffed by three doctors and support staff from the family of group practices, on a rotating schedule.
How do I make an appointment for Saturday care?
Simply contact Oldwick Animal Hospital as usual, and our receptionists will schedule your weekend appointment at the Hunterdon Hills location. While the Oldwick location is no longer open on Saturdays, our Oldwick reception desk is staffed on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist you. You may also call Hunterdon Hills at 908-534-2321 to schedule.
What if I need to pick up my pet's food or medication on a Saturday?
You can. Our Oldwick reception desk is staffed on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to answer calls and assist with scheduling, medication pickups, and general information. Medications approved and prepared prior to Saturday can be picked up at the Oldwick location on Saturday; just contact us to make arrangements.
Can I schedule a Sunday appointment?
Yes. Sunday appointments are reserved for urgent care and sick pet appointments only (not wellness exams). Please call Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital at 908-534-2321 if your pet needs urgent medical care on a Sunday. A trusted urgent care doctor from our group will see your pet.
Who else has access to this weekend care?
Only clients and patients of our group of collaborating animal hospitals can make weekend appointments at Hunterdon Hills. We hope this provides more care and addresses urgent medical concerns while keeping you and your pet close to home and out of emergency rooms.
Will my veterinarian know if I am seen at Hunterdon Hills over the weekend?
Absolutely. Records from weekend appointments are transferred to Oldwick by Monday.
How else will this collaboration help my pet(s)?
By joining this collaborative network, Oldwick clients now have access to, and priority appointments for, expanded care options across our local family of hospitals, including:
