Etta, our cement hippo
Our cement hippo is fifty years old. She was an iconic presence in Dr. Cailles' hometown in Indiana, and Dr. Cailles grew up with her. On a visit home with her husband and daughter, Dr. Cailles mentioned how she wished her daughter could grow up with the hippo too.
Dr. Cailles has learned you have to be careful what you wish for. Etta now watches over Oldwick, and she dresses up for every holiday of the year.
